I have grown up in a very artistic family and enjoyed drawing since I was a young child. I remember winning art contests and always received instructions from my mother, one of the finest artists I know. It was an honor and a pleasure growing up with such talent that was passed on from generation to generation in our family. I have never received professional training and therefore consider myself a self-taught artist, who enjoys working with pencil, charcoal, acrylics as well as other mediums. Pencil had been my primary medium and I have specialized in pet portraits for many years, although I enjoy drawing other subjects as well. I am thrilled at the experience of bringing an animal to life through various mediums. Abstracts and color are also very appealing to me. I have drawn celebrities/artists such as Elvis, Jimi Hendrix, Lucille Ball, John Wayne and many others.
I have enjoyed exhibiting my work in the Del Mar Fair Fine Art Exhibit in the past and have received their Honorable Mention Award as well as People’s Choice Award. I love participating in street fairs whenever possible and networking with other artists. It would be a dream come true to own my own personal and professional art studio in the future.
