Crystal Beard, born and raised in Redding, California, is a twenty four year old emerging artist that works largely with charcoal and chalk pastels. Mostly self taught, she has always had a passion for drawing, and as a child and teenager could be found drawing Disney characters and models from magazines.
Now she draws most of her inspiration from fiction novels, specifically in the fantasy genre. An avid reader, she loves to create her own imaginings of characters and scenes from her favorite books, as well as mythical creatures. Her biggest inspiration is author Sarah J Maas, who has written many fantasy best sellers.
Crystal's work also includes portraits, because she feels like nothing tells a story like a person's eyes or expression. She loves to draw portraits from her favorite fictional characters from TV and Film.
She is very excited to keep developing her personal style and create more drawings.
